Woodbridge Ecological Reserve

WER 1
We drove out to Lodi. The Big Valley. I know it too well, but I had never got a good look at the Sandhill Crane. Last Saturday We spent some time with them.
WER 2
At the first stop they were off quite a ways.

WER 5
WER 3
We found more down the road.

There were huge flocks of waterfowl but they were too far away even with the binocs. We saw Redtails of course, and were delighted and up close with a pair of Kingfisher, an American Kestrel, a Northern Harrier flying low, back and forth, over the delta ponds tormenting hundreds of ducks at a time and on the way back to the I-5 an Osprey in a tree near the road looking at us.

It was good times, just the two of us.
