Title: Estero San Jose
One of our day trips is down to the mouth of the Rio San Jose, a two thousand acre marshy lagoon surrounded by the rocky Laguna Mountains.
We saw over a dozen Osprey, a flock of Cattle Egrets flying together up and down the waterway, a Vermillion Flycatcher, hummingbirds, a Hooded Oriole, weird ducks we haven't identified yet, Green Herons, Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Brown Pelicans, and a couple of different Cormorants.

A beautiful walk along the river and back to the spacious white sand beach on the Sea of Cortez.

I'm really not much for deserts and hot sand beaches. The tropical marsh is something else. I wish I were there right now with my Zeisses around my neck. Very nice photos.
