Astonishment is Part of My LifeBlood, I Live For That Kinda Shit

Don't watch this, seriously, it might fuck you up. It might fuck with your very existence. The whole episode is amazing, but this first part (10 min),

Oh, how I hate him.

Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5

Here is his blog entry about the show. It's dead on. We have a big beautiful Ferran Adrià cookbook, brought back from Spain as a gift from Til and Jim,
1993 - The book El Bulli. El Sabor del Mediterráneo is published, a reflection of the outlook on cooking between 1987 and 1993. The International Academy of Gastronomy names it the best book on cuisine d’auteur of 1993.
but the whole thing is in Spanish and the metric system. Of course, they did get it autographed to GG, while having dinner at El Bulli, back in '98.

I got to get to Spain. Like On The Line - A Cook's Journey. San Sebastian.

Well, fuck me.

It's all true. I had a long lunch in Sitges nearly 10 years ago, and I still remember every bite.

I hate that bastard.

When I was about 21 I was living in Germany (thanks Uncle Sam). I went to Barcelona twice for long weekends. I don't think we even ate. If we did, I don't remember it. At that point in my life I had different priorities.
